Volkswagen Slovakia was established in Slovakia in 1991. Since then it produced more than 3 million vehicles. The company is the biggest exporter and is among the biggest investors and employers in private sector in Slovakia. It has more than 9 400 employees. In Bratislava factory it produces Volkswagen Touareg, Audi Q7, Volkswagen up!, Volkswagen e-up!, SEAT Mii, ŠKODA Citigo, bodies of Porsche Cayenne and gearboxes. In Martin factory it produces components for chassis and in Košice it prepares cars for export to Russia. The company also produces instruments for production lines in Stupava factory.
