Prvá stavebná sporiteľňa, a. s.

Prvá stavebná sporiteľňa, a. s., a bank specialising in support and financing of construction and housing needs, started its operation as the first bank of its kind in the former countries of Eastern and Central Europe, thus pioneering building savings in this region. The bank was founded by three well-established European banking houses: Slovenská sporiteľňa, a. s. (Slovak Republic), Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall AG (Germany) and Raiffeisen Bausparkasse G.m.b.H. (Austria). The bank started its operations on 16 November 1992. Since the beginning the bank has been among the most dynamically developing financial institutions on the Slovak financial market. The bank conducts its business activities in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Slovak Republic. The basic rule followed by the Prvá stavebná sporiteľňa, a. s. is to ensure compliance with ethical standards both in terms of relationships with clients, business partners and cooperating companies, as well as relationships with the employees and associates of PSS, a. s. The bank sees compliance with ethical rules as its obligation towards the clients to provide high-quality financial services and to apply the principles of decency and transparency in business in its everyday practice.

„Furthermore, by joining the Slovak Compliance Circle we want to publicly declare our commitment to the highest compliance standards. Moreover, we get a chance to exchange valuable experience and best practices with other members of the association. That will help us to respond even better to legislative changes and to improve internal processes at the bank. However, the primary goal of our activities is to increase the trust of our clients and business partners, because we believe trust to be the cornerstone of every successful relationship and   compliance is the way to gain and bolster that trust.”
