JUDr. Martin Jacko stood at the inception of the Slovak Compliance Circle. Martin has served as a member of the board of directors at SCC for six years.  Martin Jacko plans to leverage on his expertise in law and comprehensive strategic advice to clients in advocacy, gained extensive experience from his previous work at the board of directors and knowledge of internal processes for the effective functioning of the advisory board.

Why do I consider the activity in Advisory board of the SCC to be meaningfull? 

I believe that once we will come to the state that the general standards are accepted and adhered to in the society, based on international standards and taking into account the legal and cultural specifics of the Slovak business environment. My goal is to create a body that will, on the one hand, be a solid support for the activities of the association and be able to properly guide its themes and activities, but on the other hand will be a valuable source of new ideas coming from advisory fields. I am convinced that my previous experience in association and compliance will be a good basis for achieving this goal.”

Prof. Mgr. Anna Lašáková, PhD.

Professor, Faculty of Management, Comenius University in Bratislava


Prof. Mgr. Anna Lašáková, Ph.D. works at the Faculty of Management of Comenius University in Bratislava. As part of scientific research and pedagogical work, she focuses on business ethics, ethics in personnel management, people management, organizational behavior and intercultural management. She is the author and co-author of several book publications, she publishes in prestigious domestic and foreign scientific journals. She has worked in several Slovak and international scientific research projects.

Why do I consider the activity in the Advisory board of the SCC to be meaningfull? 

“I regard the cooperation with the SCC as a unique opportunity for the convergence of science and praxis in Slovakia. Benefits of our cooperation can be utilized by the students for whom SCC members prepare presentations, by the academics who receive more space for their research in companies that are members of the SCC, as well as the managers of companies associated in SCC, who can draw on the unique expertise of scientists for the purpose of the ethical development of their businesses. The motto of the SCC fully describes the reasons for which we seek to develop and train our students, the prospective managers, in business ethics at the Faculty of Management, Comenius University in Bratislava. I am fully convinced that both the promotion of the principles of business ethics and the creation of a transparent business environment are absolutely necessary for a sustainable future of our society.”

Prof.PhDr. Anna Remišová, PhD.

Professor, Faculty of Management, Comenius University in Bratislava


Prof. PhDr. Anna Remišová, PhD. is a recognized expert in the field of managerial and business ethics and codes of ethics. She is a pioneer in the development of business ethics and stood at its birth in Slovakia. She is internationally recognized author of many publications and articles on business and management ethics, codes od ethics, ethical counseling, ethical leadership and corporate social responsibility. She lectures not only in Slovakia but also abroad.

Why do I consider the activity in the Advisory board of the SCC to be meaningfull? 

“I appreciate very much my participation in the SCC Advisory board. Firstly, because I consider the SCC itself to be a highly professional and inspiring institution that actively supports business ethics in Slovakia. Secondly, because I have the opportunity to contribute with my observations and knowledge to the discovery of new unexplored areas in the development of business ethics in practice.”

Ing. Ivan Skaloš

Group Compliance Officer, Slovak Telekom, a.s.


Since 2005 Ivan  has been working for Slovak Telekom, a.s., where he was responsible for corporate finance, business analysis, risk management and building an internal control environment. In 2007, he took over the position of Compliance Officer, which he still holds today. Since the beginning of 2017, he has also been responsible for the sister company T-Mobile Czech republic, a.s. Ivan is engaged in publishing, lecturing at universities and from February 2018 to December 2019 he held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Slovak Compliance Circle.

Tatiana Valentová

Data protection expert, Algger s.r.o.


Tatiana is a specialist in the field of personal data protection. She gained her rich experience mainly as the chief inspector of the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic and the director of the control department. Thanks to her many years of work in the field of information protection and security in the position of security analyst, she has experience with the practical application of security measures used to protect information, as well as with the application of legislation and international standards in their preparation. She also used her practical experience in drafting new legislation on personal data protection and secondary legislation in connection with the effectiveness of the European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As part of personal data protection, she currently specializes in privacy protection, information security and comprehensive implementation of GDPR into the practical environment of companies. Tatiana publishes in the field of personal data protection, collaborates with several international organizations in the field of privacy and auditing. She lectures at conferences, conducts seminars and workshops thematically focused on personal data protection, security and the impact on the rights and freedoms of individuals. She is the author of a practical commentary on GDPR.

Alexander Nagy

Partner, Deloitte Advisory


Ing. Alexander Nagy is a partner in the forensic services department in Slovakia and the Czech Republic and is also responsible for forensic services in the Central European region. He has more than 20 years of professional experience in forensic accounting and fraud investigation. In addition to many years of experience in external consulting, Alexander worked for six years as head of compliance at one of the largest banks in the Czech Republic. He has practical experience in accounting, finance and business practices, protocols and legislation, and focuses on the prevention and detection of internal and external errors, including those related to regulatory requirements.

 

Why do I consider the activity in Advisory board of the SCC to be meaningfull? 

I consider the cooperation with SCC to be a unique opportunity to support the principles of business ethics and compliance through the sharing of knowledge and practical experience. I believe that just open discussion and active promotion of the topic will bring the desired results. I would like to contribute to the goals of the SCC especially with a practical view of the matter and experience gained during the projects, which provided me with an overview of the level and awareness of compliance in several sectors. I am convinced that by carefully pursuing the goals of the association, we can raise the level of business ethics and compliance and achieve transparent and truly ethical behavior of business entities.”
